Class Topic: Life After College

In Ryan Healy's essay, "Twentysomething:Be Responsible Go Back Home for College, he informs his audience on the struggles college students are faced with financially. Most students and grads have a hard time finding away to provide for their selves during and after college. Reality is most can't afford to live on their own and are forced to move in with their parents. This essay was quite personal to me. As a college student it has been hard to find employment that works around my class schedule. I recently was let go from a job and haven't found an employer willing to work with me. Since school is important to me I have to sacrifice working so that I will have a career in my future rather than a simple job.

  1. I agree with what you said about that essay being disheartening. The fact that all odds are against students in this time in history is pretty scary. Finishing school is difficult for kids who have to work for what they have. I hope in the end we will look back on the hard times and be proud of ourselves.
